Who's Izzah?

She's my sister.

1. She likes bananas. Suka gila, especially if it's 'jompot' pisang. (Jemput-jemput pisang ler tu)

2. She gets really excited if Special Agent Oso or Barney and Friends is on the TV. "Nim, bukak suale. One je"  That's her way of asking me to turn up the volume of the TV, by the way. "One je" maksudnya bukak sikit je. Aku memang tak faham bahasa kau wahai Nurul Izzah binti Mohd Fauzi.

3. She's really really REALLY manja. Kalau dia tak dapat apa yang dia nak nanti dia nangis. Cis, yang ni memang aku paling benci.

4. She has the most awesome sister anyone could've ever asked for. And that sister is me.

5. Yesterday was her birthday. She's 4 years old now!!!

Happy Birthday? Hmm Happy Birthday la sangat.

The cake was so delicious ok! 

Negaraku Merdeka

How did you celebrate Independence Day?

I didn't do anything fancy to celebrate the Independence Day
But what I did was kinda silly and pathetic. Yelah, orang semua keluar main bunga api masa hari kemerdekaan. Aku duduk rumah tengok Harry Potter sambil makan kerupuk pisang.....

Semangat kemerdekaan memang macam hape je.

Tapi aku tak tengok movie tu sangat. Main main tengok je (heh?)  I've watched it many times before and many tears have been shed. Instead of really watching the movie, I snapped pictures. Pathetic but hey, that's how I roll...

HAPPY 55TH INDEPENDENCE DAY, MALAYSIA!

I love Saudi, but I love you more.

The smell of you in every single dream I dream.

There's a quote in the Harry Potter series which goes like this:

“He missed Hogwarts so much it was like having a constant stomachache. He missed the castle, with its secret passageways and ghosts, his classes, … the mail arriving by owl, eating banquets in the Great Hall, sleeping in his four-poster bed in the tower dormitory, visiting the gamekeeper, Hagrid, in his cabin next to the Forbidden Forest in the grounds, and especially, Quidditch, the most popular sport in the wizarding world”

That is how I'm feeling at the moment.

I was busy planning on what I would do once I go back to Malaysia.

And then I realised...

I will be leaving Saudi in 4 months. 

Here I am, sitting in my parents' room in Jubail, and thinking how much I miss Makkah and its busy yet calm surroundings. I really hope this won't be my last time in Saudi Arabia.

Starting anew.

I used to have a blog once. It was under the URL fadhilahhanim. But I stopped updating that blog for awhile because:

1) Takde orang baca atau aku ingat takde orang baca. Ye lah.. aku selalu blog pasal Narnia, Harry Potter, Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, seriously, siapa yang baca benda tu semua? Kalau baca pun mesti diorang tak faham, kan? Kalau ada yang faham, well, THUMBS UP BRO. Anyways, aku rarely update pasal aktiviti-aktiviti harian, mingguan, bulanan, tahunan. So, kesimpulannya, blog aku memang hampeh.

2) Aku seorang yang pemalas. Setiap kali aku buat satu benda yang aku tak selalu buat (cooking, baking, or travelling whatsoever), aku memang always plan untuk ambik gambar pastu post dekat blog. Dalam otak memang dah plan macam mana nak tulis, nak guna Bahasa apa (B.I atau B.M sahaja lol). Tetapi apakan daya, aku seorang yang sangat pemalas. SANGAT PEMALAS.

3) My writing style is awkward and messy. Sekejap-sekejap cakap dalam Bahasa Inggeris, sekejap-sekejap dalam Bahasa Melayu. Bila aku start entry dalam Bahasa Inggeris pastu dah sampai tengah-tengah, tetiba nanti lupa tense apa patut guna, pastu lupa pulak apa perkataan tu dalam B.I. Memang hampeh. Kalau nak tulis entry dalam B.M memang kau takyah cakap, nyah. Memang susah nak mati. Ok, tak susah sangat (Drama Queen betul aku ni) tapi vocabulary B.M aku memang dah tak bagus.

4) The use of kata ganti nama. First time buat blog memang sakit otak aku fikir kata ganti nama yang apa patut aku guna. Tapi I've decided to stick with 'aku', instead of 'saya'. Aku tak layak (heh?) guna 'saya' sebab pada aku, orang yang menis, yang lemah lembut je patut guna 'saya'. Kalau orang yang kasar, guna 'aku' je lah. Tapi tu semua applies kat aku je. Korang guna je lah apa2 yang korang suka. Blog korang, bukan aku. Eh, apabenda yang aku cakap nih?

5) The use of pictures. Setiap kali nak publish sesuatu entri, aku check dulu kalau entri tu ada gambar atau tak. Because in my opinion, pictures make the entry less boring to read. Ye lah, entri panjang macam rambut pontianak pastu boring pulak tu. Senang lagi kalau ade gambar. Kau skip je entri tu, tengok gambar terus. Senang nyah aku cakap.

Then a few days ago, my dearest friend, Syafiqah whom I haven't talked to for such a looooong time tegur aku dekat Facebook. Kitorang berbual, reminiscing our old times together back in Darjah 2 when I was studying in Malaysia. We had a group (alah, dekat sekolah rendah kan memang ada banyak geng jadi jangan judge kami) consisting of 4 girls (or more. I don't remember. Am I a bad friend?) Me, Syafiqah, Najwa, and Waheeda. We were so close back then.

Back to the point... after talking for what seem like hours, she asked me why I haven't been updating my blog. Terkejut aku! FINALLY! EEKLEH!AKU INGATKAN TAKDAK ORANG BACA!

So I made a list of pros and cons of making a new blog. Not-so-long story short, there were more pros than cons so HERE I AM!
